Can I use my mobile device to attend the conference on Gather?

The mobile experience with Gather platform is limited to exploring the space with your avatar and only outputting your audio but not video. You will still be able to see videos from others, but they will not be able to see you. If you find difficulties in using Gather, you can use the direct Zoom links.

How will I be supported within the Gather platform?

When you log into Gather, you will find the reception desk with assistants. You'll recognize them through the "Ask me" label next to their name.

I can't unmute my audio or video on Gather!

If you accidentally blocked Gather from accessing your camera or microphone, you will see a camera icon in the upper right of your site address bar with a red "x" to indicate that you have denied the site access. You can click on this to change your preferences.

I still can't unmute my audio or video after checking my browser settings on Gather (Apple or Mac)

You might get stuck with a screen saying "Awaiting Audio and Video Permissions" if you dismiss or block the initial mic/camera permission pop-up window or if you have not previously enabled security permissions for your browser on a Macbook or Apple computer inside of your Apple Privacy and Security Settings. To access these settings, open System Preferences and select Security and Privacy. In the menu on the left side, find and select "Camera" and "Microphone" and check the box on the right to enable permissions for your web browser to use your camera and microphone.

I can see myself but can't see or hear anyone else on Gather!

If you have any extensions blocking autoplay permissions, or blocking WebRTC make sure these are disabled.
